Hoping you all had a Merry Christmas!

I hope that you and your families had a very Merry Christmas!  My week leading up to the big day was filled with finishing a couple of custom orders and getting the last minute things done.  We also celebrated a birthday in there (yes, my husband and kids all have birthdays around Christmas, and now my new little niece does as well).  My daughter and I had a couple of little projects that we did together.  We still have one more Christmas day to celebrate on Saturday with my husband's immediate family that we are looking forward to.  I hope you are enjoying the few days leading up to the new year.  We are spending our few quiet days relaxing and cleaning out and getting items ready to donate to make room for all the new stuff!  Wishing you many blessings in the new year.
As always, thanks for stopping by

Christmas has landed

I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving!  We had a terrific day with family and then on black Friday enjoyed going down to the Festival of Trees.  It was a lot of fun, and my son especially enjoyed it this year.

I'm happy to say that Christmas has landed at our house.  We have all of our decorations up and it is very bright and cheerful in our house.  I love our tree with its eclectic collection of hand-made, hand-me-down, and a few ornaments I've purchased over the years.

I've been working with the kids to come up with creative gift ideas that they can make and give to family and friends.  I think some of the best gifts are the hand-made ones that I've received and I want to try to instill in my kiddos that a gift doesn't have to cost a lot to be special, sometimes the simple hand-made things are much more meaningful than anything else.  I think that is one of the reasons that I love making jewelry and other crafts.  There is more of a story behind it that something machine made and purchased at the mall.

Even though it is getting busier around here I am doing my best to get orders shipped out as quickly as possible.

I hope your family can enjoy this season even with all of the craziness it can sometimes bring.
